Procedural comfort care for children
Enter the enchanting world of little NIRVANA: the innovative tool that supports children and their parents during medical procedures at the hospital, doctor’s office or dentist. Little NIRVANA takes children on a magical adventure and turns fear and stress into confidence and calm, making medical visits less tense and children dare to come back with peace of mind.
Together, we create a warm, safe and almost magical care experience – completely tailored to each child’s needs.

Procedural comfort care in children: what does it involve?
Imagine: your child has to be pricked or undergo some other medical treatment. For many children, this is an exciting and even frightening experience. For good reason: pain, stress and fear can be profound during such procedures. The consequences are often greater than thought: from needle anxiety to trauma and long-term stress, with impact well into adulthood.
Research shows that
- 5 to 13% of children develop needle anxiety
- 8% refuse a vaccination out of fear
- 40% experience needling as the most stressful moment of a hospital admission.
Strengthening procedural comfort care with little NIRVANA
Little NIRVANA takes comfort care to the next level. Using game technology, children are prepared for a medical procedure in an interactive, multi-sensory way and distracted during a medical procedure. The tools are based on proven psychological principles and use breathing techniques. A virtual buddy – Milo – guides the child step by step, making trust and comfort central and built up during the care cycle.
